Installations &
research projects
 Sveg
Installation
in Sveg, middle of Sweden.
Special
research in cooperation with Vindforsk, CombiTech and
HoloOptics. The project will study
the icing effects on different altitudes
(15m - 300m). Using four T26 Icing Rate Sensors and
one T23 Clear-Ice Indicator™ on a nearby
wind power plant. The sensors are now replaced
by T44 and T41. Härnösand Special
Research projects
Installation
at the wind power plant in Härnösand.
 Special
research in cooperation with Vindforsk, Hemab,
Skelleftekraft and HoloOptics. The project
will determine how ice is spreading
on the wind power wings by using optical Ice Marker™
supplied by HoloOptics. The project
will also investigate effect losses
due to icing. Aapua &
Bliekevare wind Farms Installation
at Aapua Wind Farm at the polar circle. One
T23 Clear-Ice Indicators™ is installed at a wind power
farm In Aapua in northern Sweden.
The sensors are now replaced by
T41.
EA Technology Installation
at DeadWater, northern England.
From January
2008 one T26 Icing Rate Sensor is installed
by EA Technology. Bulgarian
Meteorological Inst.
Installation
at Mount Moissala 2925m asl.
From the
middle of January 2007 one T26 Icing Rate Sensor is
tested by the Bulgarian Meteorological institute.
Finnish Meteorological
Institute
(FMI)
Installation
at FMI Test Site at Luosto, northern Finland.
 From November 2007
one T26 Icing Rate Sensor is tested by FMI. Results
will be presented eventually. MeteoFrance
Installation
at MeteoFrance in Paris and Mont Aigoual 1567m
asl.
MeteoFrance used one T26 Icing Rate Sensor for tests
in December 2006.
MeteoSuisse Installation
at MeteoSuisse Guetsch 2287m asl.

From
the middle of November 2006 one T26 Icing Rate Sensor
is tested by MeteoSuisse.

The
Narvik University used the T23 Clear-Ice Indicators™
beta version as icing rate sensor from the
season 2005. Today two T23 Clear-Ice
Indicators™ are installed on a wind power plant
close to Narvik. The sensors
are now replaced by a T44. One T44 is also installed
at a measurement mast close to Narvik
Narvik, Norway is situated 200km north
of the polar circle. The position makes
it very prone to icing, as mild winds with high
moisture content reach the ...
